SO, to make a long story short.....the plan of buying my brother's house did not work out. We are having to move out. Grrrrr. My brother was not making payments on the house and apparently, the bank doesn't allow family members to buy other family member homes when the payments aren't being made. "Buy and Bail" and "non arms length" transaction....yada yada.
SO, even though we have great jobs, near perfect credit, and would be giving them the money they have not been getting from my brother, we are not allowed to buy it because we are related. Do they realize that my brother and I only speak at Christmas and Thanksgiving? It's practically like we aren't related!
Since we aren't sure what our next step is, we are moving in with my parents for awhile until we find another place to purchase, rent, or build.
Surprisingly, Tony and I have peace about the situation. We truly believe that God has another plan for us. We still have a plan to build another home when the kids are in school....we are just having to get there using another route.
Just pray for us as we take the next step!
